MEET PASTOR CYNTHIA
Cynthia Bynum, warmly called "Pastor Cynthia," is the founder and senior pastor of Greater Faith International Ministry, a holistic ministry committed to balancing spiritual transformation and social justice advocacy for the people of God. It is her belief that God is faithful and will keep his promises to those who hold fast to the confession of their faith without wavering. God is faithful. Faith in God should be intentional.
Pastor Cynthia is an anointed woman of God, who has committed her life to Jesus. At 15 years of age, Pastor Cynthia received and experienced the power of the Holy Spirit of God at Grace Deliverance Tabernacle in Chicago, Illinois, under former Pastors Elder Danny L. & Barbara A. Thompson. She was called into ministry at the young age of 16 and served as its first youth leader in the church for several years. She has been involved in ministry for over 30 years in different leadership roles.
Pastor Cynthia has a special ministry gift of reaching into the lives of people and sharing principles that create change, regardless of the difficulty. Through her daily walk with God, paired with unyielding faith, meditation in God's Word, fervent prayer, and devoted worship to God, Pastor Cynthia is committed to her role as servant-leader to the people placed under her care.
In 2018, Pastor Cynthia served in the ministry of The Cathedral of Grace Apostolic Church under the leadership of Pastors Elder Willie and Dr. Marie Johnson. She was faithful in all areas of service to God in ministry at "C-Grace," for which, in 2019, she began to transition into pastoral care ministry. In January 2020, Greater Faith International Ministry, "GFIM," Georgia, was officially incorporated to reach the world and compel people to come unto salvation through Jesus Christ.
Pastor Cynthia is a current Doctor of Ministry candidate at Howard University School of Divinity, a Princeton Theological Seminary: Black Theological Leadership Insitute Fellow and recently earned a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She too holds the degree of Master's in Business Management from Fordham University's Executive MBA Program and graduated cum laude having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Business Information Systems.
She is also a graduate of Emory's Paralegal Studies Program. Cynthia has held several leadership positions within the legal community, and in these roles, she has contributed to the expansion of continuing legal education programs, leadership forums, and other professional events that empower individuals to strive for their professional and personal best. It is at the intersections of Faith, Justice and Leadership that Pastor Cynthia will merge theology and social justice advocacy to uplift the greater good by and through Jesus in the continuous building of the beloved community.
